Editing needs a visible comparison

The official editGPT site describes proofreading, editing, and tracking changes using ChatGPT. This makes the review process the important part of a trial: a rewritten paragraph is less useful if the author cannot identify what changed and why.

Start with a short passage containing terminology, a quotation, a number, and a deliberately informal sentence. Request a narrowly scoped grammar pass, then inspect whether the tool also changes meaning or tone. Keep an untouched original and review proposed changes individually where the current interface allows it.

Define what must remain unchanged

Tell the editor to preserve quotations, names, units, and product terminology. After applying changes, compare the final version with the source again. A grammatical correction should not turn a qualified claim into a guarantee or make a participant sound more certain than they were.

Check the current application or extension requirements, supported workflow, and account limits directly before subscribing; this directory has not independently tested current browser compatibility. For regulated or consequential documents, retain the normal human approval process. The useful measure is the number of appropriate corrections accepted without introducing new errors, not how different the rewritten passage looks.
